The genetic profiles in anti-aging medicine evaluate the probability or risk each person has of developing frequent illnesses in adult age. It is estimated that 91% of the population will present in the stretch of their lives some type of illness of a genetic base, and that 65% will develop illness typical of the adult age, such as, among others, diabetes, obesity, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, breast and prostate cancer, dementia, and osteoporosis.
Knowing our genes, our genetic susceptibility, is to be able to decide what to do regarding what is predetermined since birth, it deals with an analysis that is only necessary to be done once in a persons life.
This is the reason genetic profiles were developed to better evaluate our genetic susceptibility to these frequent adult illnesses, as much in men as it is in women.
